As the gyms closed during the Covid-19 Pandemic, a section in homes became our own personal gym space. As we scrambled to stay fit, gym equipment on Amazon became my fitness search for exercise accessories at home. While working out with one of my best girlfriends, she shared with me her weighted hula hoop and I shared with her my weighted ball.
When I put the hula hoop around my waist, and started hooping, it brought back so many childhood memories of hula hooping on the yard during recess in Elementary School. As an adult, to sustain the repeated circular motion of the hula hoop around my waist, is still fun and a good fitness challenge. Now I hula hoop at least three times a week, and I am noticing weight loss and muscle toning in my abs. Also, hula hooping is helping me keep a fit waist line.
