She Is Me and I Am HER... November Book Spotlight

Updated: Nov 9, 2020

DoV's Book Spotlight is "I Am Malala." by authors, Malala Yousafzai and Christine Lamb. This autobiography demonstrates leadership, faith, hope, determination, and the list goes on. I am thankful for Malala's spirit to take a stand in a country where women were oppressed. This is a great book to discuss with pre-teen and teenage young ladies, about the heroic efforts Malala demonstrated through hope and courage to change the injustice of the Educational System for girls in her country. Malala's miraculous journey teaches us the spirit to never give up, through her triumphant tragedy she overcame.

As we reflect in the season of Thankfulness, for so many things such as family, good health, friends, a job, clothes, food, and even our natural resources such as water.

This November, I am thankful for the heroes and in my case, the shero of women who have dedicated their lives fighting for injustice, being proactive in their Movement, and being a voice for their oppressed people in their country and or community.

Most of all this book is to reflect and be thankful for things we may overlook and take a deep breath and say, "Thank you God for ALL what you have given and done for me."
